Empowering Young Imaginations
This class works on developing characters, using dramatic speaking and movement with a focus on stage acting. The purpose of children's drama is for participants to develop speaking skills, acting skills, creative thinking, confidence and self esteem. Creative acting uses new short plays and other drama activities each class. The focus is on skill development - not line memorization.
Classes are 1 hour in duration and held once a week for six (6) weeks.
“Cold script reading" will teach students how to pick up a script, analyze it quickly and perform it on camera with confidence. Children become comfortable with acting "On-Camera”. Students watch their own progress on DVD and receive constructive criticism from the teacher and classmates.

Monologues ($150.00)
Learning to develop a good monologue will not only help children who wish to audition for plays or talent agents but also help children when preparing oral book reports, speeches and public speaking. The benefits of a monologue class will last well into adulthood.

Comedy and improv help students instantly create a character, expand their vocabulary, solve problems creatively and even defuse situations. Our instructor for this class graduated from Second City in Chicago. Improv helps children dramatically come out of their shell. Classes are fast paced and a lot of fun!!

Children will learn how to work in a group to write a script. This class meets at the writers table where everyone will share their ideas and work together to write a script. Scripts will be considered for use in our classes, parties and Webisodes!
